Rising From the Shadows
Yes, I know — I disappeared for nearly 18 months. Some even thought I was retiring as a coach. But here’s the truth: I’m not stepping down. I’m stepping up. I’m expanding my mission. And what I carry now is more than a fitness program — it’s a testimony of faith, fire, and survival.

The last two years have been nothing short of a crucible. Not in a “poor me” sense, but in the refining fire where God burns away weakness and forges steel in a man’s soul.
My Battle With Cancer
I was diagnosed with aggressive level 3 cancer. Early detection saved me — thank God! But the journey was brutal. Every three months meant anesthesia, knives, and tissue being cut away. At the same time, life piled on with stress so deep it gnawed at my bones.
Through it all, I never stopped training. Because a coach doesn’t quit. A warrior does not retreat.
Then came my 61st birthday (28 Aug 2025). I woke up from anesthesia table, expecting more bad news. Instead, I heard words that shook me: “Gert, there was nothing to cut out. The cancer is gone.”
Gone. Just like that.
My kidneys suddenly improved. My cholesterol dropped to perfect levels. My body began showing healing I hadn’t seen in decades. It was as if God Himself said: “Enough. Now rise.”
Why Me, Lord?
I asked the question we all ask in dark times: Why me?
This wasn’t my first battle with death. Three times since turning 40, I’ve stared into the abyss and thought it was the end. But this time, God’s message was clear:
“Gert, I was preparing you.”
Scripture reminds us that every man of God walked through fire. Job lost everything (Job 1). Joseph was betrayed and imprisoned (Genesis 39). Paul was beaten and left for dead (2 Corinthians 11:25). Suffering is not abandonment — it is the furnace where God makes men strong, bold, and holy.
Becoming a Jesus Warrior
These past two years were the hardest of my life, but they forged me into something new: a Jesus warrior.
Fear is gone. Death no longer intimidates me. My life belongs fully to Christ.
This past weekend in a sauna, a man asked me:
“Would you die for your faith, like the apostles — say, by stoning?”
Without hesitation, my answer was: Yes. Absolutely. Five minutes of pain — and then eternity with Christ? Bring it on. That’s not defeat. That’s victory.
The New Mission: Biblical Masculinity
I’m returning as a coach — but not the same coach you knew. I’m stronger, sharper, and more focused. My mission is no longer just about biceps and abs. It’s about Biblical Masculinity.
Two years ago, I even made a video trying to justify posting aesthetic photos in my speedo!
I tried to convince myself it was “inspiring.” Looking back, I see it differently now. That was self, not Christ. God calls men to be strong, ethical, and protective — not performers in tight clothing seeking the world’s applause.
And yes, you can laugh with me — some of you will miss those beach shots. But we are moving on to far greater things.
What Is Biblical Masculinity?
Biblical Masculinity is about building strong men, ethical leaders, protectors of wives and children, and men who stand tall in a collapsing world.
“Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love.” — 1 Corinthians 16:13–14
My coaching still includes cutting-edge science to help you lose fat, build muscle, and transform your body. But at its heart, it’s about shaping men of God — men who train their bodies but also discipline their souls.
“For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.” — 1 Timothy 4:8
My Call to You
This is my call. My stand. My new era.
I want my story to show you this truth: life’s darkest valleys are not proof that God abandoned you — they are proof that He is preparing you.
If you have suffered, don’t run from Him. Run to Him. When Christ rebuilds a man, He makes him unbreakable.
I am here, by His grace, to coach men into true strength — physical, mental, and spiritual strength. The kind that doesn’t just shine under gym lights, but stands tall when the storms of life strike.
This is not just fitness.
This is not just coaching.
This is war. And I am raising up warriors.
May God bless you and your loved ones! Gert Louw
