Transforming your body against all odds – motivational documentary

This is the first time that my past 10 years life story and motivation for my transformation has been put to video, thanks to two people who crossed my path (Adriaan Fourie and Gary King)

It is not something I talk easily about because of all the emotions involved. I see this step of making the video as part of the emotional healing process.

The purpose of this video is meant to inspire and give hope to those that feel they are in a hopeless situation.

Life is beautiful and precious and we can never throw in the towel. There is so much beauty in this life but we have to get up and find it. We don’t have to search far but we must take that first steps.

  1. Truly amazing and inspiring Gert! You are a huge motivation for my training and i have been following you for some time.

I have acquired a little girl as of late, and was wondering if i could get your wisdom (being a dad as well) on how to condense workouts. I dont have a home gym, so getting to the gym 3 x p/w is about the most i can do. Could you recommend a ‘condensed’ routine for the “building” phase similar to your routine? Much appreciated bud. Hope to hear from you soon.

    Cheers

    1. Just want to say thanx for the feedback DUTCHIE!
Congratulations on the baby girl! They DO change your life and outlook.
Fully understand your wish to condense workouts.
      Couple of suggestions:
      1. Stay away from training partners – they help a lot but will add much time to your workout length.
      2. Incorporate supersets into your workouts – it is intense and a great timesaver.
      3. Limit the time doing cardio and rather focus your diet for fatloss. Use your available time to built muscle.
You do not need more than 30-40 min of dedication time in a gym to grow – 4 days a week.
      Hope this helps?
      Wish u success my friend!
